Zinimal for iPhone and iPad · Last updated 20 August 2026

Zinimal collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and it makes no network requests of any kind. Nothing you make is sent anywhere.

What the app stores

Your zines — the photos you picked, your text, the layout and your settings — are saved in the app's own private storage on your device. That data leaves the device only when you export or share it yourself.

Because everything is local, deleting the app deletes your zines. There is no backup on our side to restore from.

Photos

Photos come in through the system photo picker. The app only ever sees the pictures you tap there — it does not ask for access to your photo library and cannot browse it.

A picked photo is copied into the zine's own folder, so the zine still prints even if you later delete the original in your library. Delete the zine and the copy goes with it.

Exporting and sharing

When you export, the app writes a file — a print-ready PDF or an image — and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is your choice: a printer, Files, Mail, AirDrop, or another app. Zinimal itself uploads nothing.

What the app does not do

  • No user accounts, sign-in, or profiles
  • No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking
  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers
  • No third-party SDKs that collect data
  • No access to your contacts, location, microphone, or camera
  • No network connections, so nothing is transmitted or received

Children

Zinimal is suitable for all ages. Since it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

App Store data

Apple may collect its own information when you download or purchase the app, such as download statistics reported back to us in aggregate. That is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one, and we never receive information that identifies you.

Changes

If a future version ever changes what the app stores or sends, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date above will change with it.
